Leslie Hall (AKA Mary in the future)

Today, I realized something exciting.

Leslie Hall is from Iowa. I am from Nebraska. We both love sparkly things and not wearing pants. We both have fabulous booties.

A little history about Leslie:

In high school, her peers described her as displaying herself in "strangely glamorous and unflattering ways." She started collecting gem-covered sweaters in 2000 and now has over 400. (full archive http://www.lesliehall.com/gemsweater.html)

This woman is my idol. Anyone who can amass 400 gem sweaters and rap as badass as Leslie does deserves some street cred. And those tight pants...the woman knows what it's like to not wear pants. I love not wearing pants. My sister always yells at me. She says, "PUT ON SOME GODDAMN PANTS." Shut up, Weenie. See how successful Leslie is? She doesn't wear pants!

As of now, I only have one sequined sweater and two sequined shirts. I remember the first time I wore my sequined sweater out. For some reason I was at Taco Bell, and Joey teased me mercilessly. Now he loves the sweater. It was just too fabulous to handle at T.Bell I think. Maybe that can be my niche-sequins. Leslie does gems, I do sequins. We could collaborate on some nice pieces. Maybe a benefit for poor kids who can't afford sparkly things.
